Item Går det att säkerställa ljudmiljön i en träningslokal? - en studie om ljudnivåövervakare på träningslokaler i Göteborg(2009-02-03T12:00:47Z) Ek, Pia; Samuelsson, Marie; Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för neurovetenskap och fysiologi; Gothenburg University/Institute of Neuroscience and PhysiologyIn Sweden, exercise takes a great part in people’s lives. Health and a good conditioned body go hand in hand. Many Swedes exercise in groups, with aerobics or a similar form of workout at a training facility. A regular workout lasts for about an hour and is accompanied by music. There are national sound level recommendations that shall be used to prevent the participants from developing hearing disorders when exercising in these types of premises. Our study investigates if there are differences in sound levels where there is a sound-level-monitor (SoundEar) in use or not. We have also looked upon attitudes concerning the use of music as a “work tool” and the sound environment by interviewing responsible persons at the training facility. We found no significant difference in sound levels between the two groups. The sound levels presented were below the threshold value, but results show that it is a risky environment for the instructors.Item Slutrapport Nätverk för Biomedicinska analytiker(Myndigheten för nätverk och samarbete inom högre utbildning, 2008) Ek, Pia; Uppsala universitetThe Biomedical Laboratory Scientist Programme at Uppsala University has collaboration with Högskolan Dalarna and will start a similar one with Mid Sweden University. For this purpose we applied for and recieved funds from NSHU. This money has been used to arrange meetings with appropriate persons from Högskolan Dalarna and Mid Sweden University and their corresponding County Councils. The collaboration with Mid Sweden University starts autumn 2008. The money was also used for two meetings with all organizers of Biomedical Laboratory Scientist Programme in Sweden during 2007. One result of these meetings was a home page activity (Ping Pong), where all documents, master programmes, films, e-mails etc. of common interest are assembled. Another result was a consensus document concerning the criticism some programmes focusing on Clinical Physiology gotfrom the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education. We agreed that a new programme should be initiated that aimed for a profession in Image and Function analysis, to meet the requirements for future diagnostics within this area.
