Item SYDEUROPÉERS ATTITYDER TILL EURON En jämförande studie över medborgares attityder till euron i Sydeuropa och i övriga Eurozonen(2018-03-26) Ekenstam, Felix; Göteborgs universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen; University of Gothenburg/Department of Political ScienceAttitudes towards the euro can be explained by different factors both on the contextual level and on the individual level. Earlier research tend to focus regarding attitudes towards the euro on the omparison between countries within the Eurozone with countries outside the Eurozone. Due to the most recent financial crisis there is a lot of evidence that the Eurozone is not a homogeny. Therefore there is reasons to believe that factors explaining attitudes towards the euro differs depending on which part of the Eurozone is in focus. The purpose of this essay is to broaden the understanding about attitudes towards the euro and that individual factors have a different effect on attitudes towards the euro in South Europe compared to the remaining countries of the Eurozone. The results of my logistical regression analysis shows that individual factors regarding identity have a much stronger effect on attitudes towards the euro in South Europe than in the remaining countries of the Eurozone. Even though economic factors did not differ in effect as much as expected between South Europe and the remaining countries of the Eurozone it is still relevant to understand the complexity behind the formation of attitudes in the Eurozone.Item The Impact of Digital Healthcare - A study that examines the effects of digital healthcare services on performance in primary healthcare in Sweden(2019-02-15) Ekenstam, Felix; Eklund, Carl; University of Gothenburg/Department of Economics; Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för nationalekonomi med statistikThis paper examines what effect digital healthcare has on primary healthcare in Sweden. Using aggregated register data from Jönköping county council and datasets, from väntetider and from hälsokollen a difference- in difference (DiD) analysis is conducted. The main result of this paper shows that digital healthcare has a statistically significant effect on accessibility in primary healthcare regarding in-patient visits. Results on the estimated effects on accessibility regarding phone call to a primary care center were not statistically significant. Since the results are mixed for our two outcome variables, phone and visits there is reason to believe that there is not enough evidence to conclude whether the effect is positive or negative. This paper has nevertheless contributed to the research field by adding a strategy to measure the effect of digital healthcare.
