Many studies show that, even though political will exists to strengthen the understanding of the neighbouring languages, the level of understanding of the other Scandinavian languages is falling. The Nordic Council of Ministers have identified the formation of teachers as a key factor to increase and develop the tuition on neighbouring languages. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate how the subject Nordic languages is incorporated in the formation of teachers in Denmark and Norway, and to compare the results with a recent study from Sweden. The outcome shows that the three countries have different approaches to how to teach about the Nordic languages, and that universities in Denmark and Norway include both studies in literature and in language science, while the Swedish universities emphazise on language science. Few of the included universities focus on communicative skills, which could have an impact on the students motivation to learn, and in the future, their ability and motivation to teach.
Ett komplext samhällsfenomen i sin linda

Begreppet ortorexia nervosa har uppmärksammats inom både forskning och media och framstår vara ett svårdefinierat begrepp under utveckling. Den kunskap och information som förmedlas gällande fenomenet kan komma ha stor betydelse för många inom framförallt hälso- och träningsbranschen och idrottsrörelsen. Syftet med studien är därför att beskriva och belysa hur ortorexia nervosa framställs i de två befintliga böckerna utgivna av Broadway Books och SISU idrottsutbildarna. Analys av materialet utfördes med hjälp av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys och för att avgränsa böckernas omfattande innehåll gjordes ett aktivt val att fokusera på symtom, orsak/påverkan samt beteenden och tankar. Utifrån analysen skapades sex kategorier som visar på hur böckerna beskriver ortorexia nervosa. Kategorierna var följande; 1) Besatta och kontrollerade beteenden och tankar, 2) Nedsatt kroppsfunktion, 3) Olycklig tillvaro, 4) Social avskärmning, 5) Samhällelig och social påverkan och 6) Undvika ohälsa/Uppnå hälsa. I resultatet framgår det även att böckerna beskriver fenomenet på skilda sätt vilket visar på att en utveckling av begreppet har skett. I den äldsta boken utgiven av Broadway Books framställs fenomenet som enbart en fixering vid hälsosam kost medan det i den senare boken utgiven av SISU idrottsutbildarna även innefattar en fixering vid träning. Ortorexia nervosa framgår därmed vara ett svårdefinierat och komplext samhällsfenomen i sin linda. Det går inte att fastställa vad ortorexia nervosa är men yrkesverksamma inom hälso- och träningsbranschen och idrottsrörelsen kan ses som förebilder och förmedlare av hälsa, därför är det betydande hur de uttrycker sig och kommunicerar kring hälsosam kost, träning och kroppsideal.

The aim of this project is to investigate the meeting between the city and the sea and to look into how that could be developed and made use of. I want to find out how you can increase the availability of a specific place and make it more welcoming, I also want to bring life to an already existing space and create a central meeting place in the city. The purpose is to give form to an esplanade along a dock in the central parts of Kalmar. Starting with an analysis of this public place, I want to create a concept that is close to the existing context and communicates the contrasts or associations between for example: city and nature, artificial and natural and indoor and outdoor. The primary object of the project is to add a welcoming, public place to the city where you on an accessible way can familiarize yourself with the meeting between the city and the sea. The secondary object is a step in the development of Kalmar as a City close to sea and nature and the esthetic and functional qualities that it brings. How can you use the qualities of the area in a better way? Are there any new expressions to be found in the meeting between city and sea? The result is an esplanade, a changing landscape with a clear direction which breaks up into “meeting places” - for different ways of sitting, standing and meeting. I have taken the already existing materials in the area, but used them differently. Analysing and sketching have lead to the transformation of a place on the line between two landscapes. The city and the sea have given the inspiration to a inviting functional public space.
