Musikhögskolan i Stockholm; Musikhögskolan i Piteå, Luleå tekniska universitet.; Högskolan för scen och musik, Göteborgs universitetThe project To reach the goal starts out from the assumption that individuals’ ways of participating in activities depends on their understanding of its purpose. Hence, teachers’ and students’ understanding of teachers’ education programmes and profession influences their ways of acting, which is also influenced by the structure of the programme: Here we focus on students’ ways of developing readiness to teach class ensemble in three, differently structured, local programmes. Students and teachers explored their own activities in collaboration with a researcher. This was followed up in workshops in with students’ active participation was important. Identified strengths and weak points will be considered in quality development of the programmes. A book presenting experiences from the project will be published.Item Vem äger lärandet?(Myndigheten för nätverk och samarbete inom högre utbildning, 2010) Hultberg, Cecilia K.; Kungl. Musikhögskolan i Stockholm; Musikhögskolan i Malmö, Lunds universitet; Högskolan för scen och musik, Göteborgs universitetThis project is connected to The Innovative Conservatoire (ICON), a European research network between well-reputed conservatoires. The research is, to a large extent, collaborative, conducted together with teaching musicians. The aim is to create a body of research providing new insight about conditions of musical learning and development. As important is the purpose to disseminate the results, in specific, this concerns research methods and relevance to practice, in order to facilitate for musicians and teachers to develop and refine their own teaching practices and, to reflect on how research may support artistic, professional, pedagogic and methodic development, thus being a catalyst in institutions’ change agendas. The project focuses on the core of performance education, one-to-one instrumental tuition.
