Hållbara fonder - En studie om hållbara fonder och de bakomliggande drivkrafterna till ansvarsfulla investeringar

Världen står idag inför stora miljömässiga utmaningar och under de senaste åren har engagemang kring hållbarhetsfrågor ökat kraftigt. Engagemanget har spridits från några enstaka aktörer till att bli allmänt accepterat av företagsvärlden och någon form av hållbarhetsarbete är numera standard i de allra flesta organisationer. Hållbara fonder är ett relativt nytt finansiellt instrument vars avseende är att bidra till hållbara investeringar. Hållbara fonder tar vanligen hänsyn till sociala och miljömässiga aspekter samt bolagspåverkan. Idag finns en stor efterfrågan av hållbara placeringsmöjligheter och för att svara på efterfrågan har fondbolag utvecklat och utvidgat sitt sortiment av hållbara fonder. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vad som driver fondbolag till att investera i hållbara fonder. Syftet är också att undersöka hur de hållbara fonderna är uppbyggda, om det finns några specifika faktorer som avgör hållbara fonders avkastning samt om fondbolagen upplever några interna och externa påtryckningar. Baserat på uppsatsens problemformulering har en kvalitativ metod använts under genomförandet av den empiriska datainsamlingen. Den kvalitativa studien har baserats på intervjuer med tre av Sveriges storbanker samt två svenska bank- och försäkringsbolag. Studien har visat att företag tycker att det är viktigt att integrera hållbarhet i sin verksamhet och är positiva till utvecklingen av hållbara fonder. Studien visar dock att det finns svårigheter med definitionen av en hållbar fond, vilket har skapat problem vid jämförelse mellan olika placeringsalternativ. Vidare visar undersökningen att det är svårt att avgöra om hållbara fonder är mer eller mindre lönsamma än traditionella fonder. Den visar dock att hållbara investeringar är värdeskapande för företaget samt att avkastningen på lång sikt inte skiljer sig signifikant från traditionella investeringar. Studien visar även att hållbarhet bör ses som något naturligt och bör integreras i företagskulturen samt ledarskapet. För att skapa förtroende hos företagets intressenter bör organisationen dessutom vara öppen och transparent samt upprätthålla en god kommunikation. Undersökningen har visat att de viktigaste intressenterna för fondbolag är konsumenter och intresseorganisationer samt att dessa intressenter har störst påverkan på utvecklingen av hållbara fonder. Den visar vidare att de viktigaste drivkrafterna för att fondägare ska investera i hållbara fonder är att det framförallt är en värdeskapande och långsiktig investering, samt att det främjar en hållbar framtid.
Slöjd och hälsa -Vad görs på statlig nivå och varför?

Based on research showing that craft can be a tool to achieve improved health and wellbeing, this essay investigates whether the area craft and health is present in the Swedish national exercise of authority. Main object of the investigation is The National Swedish Handicraft Council, NFH, which is an administrative authority in the ministry of culture. The essay examines in what way NFH has worked with crafts and health over the past ten years and whether the council communicates the relationship between craft and health today. The study also tries to find out reasons that may underlie the changes in the councils approach during this time. Furthermore the essay investigates whether craft and health is present in other administrative authorities which address issues of culture and/or health. The material consists of interviews with present and former employees of NFH as well as NFH business plans and annual reports for the relevant years. To get a picture of NFH´s approach to craft and health today, the NFH website and contemporary documents have been analyzed. Furthermore, administrative authorities in the culture and/or health field have been contacted to find out whether they work with craft and health. The result shows that NFH during the first part of the period adopted crafts and health, as one of their prioritized fields of work. But since 2008 the area is as good as gone. The work that NFH has done concerning craft and health has appeared hard to define. The material shows that there is a positive attitude about the subject, but no one is sure about what has been done or why it was given a lower priority. The area seems hard to maneuver. The cause of this result is discussed later on in the essay, by putting the collected material about NFH and crafts and health in a wider context. This wider context consists partly of a cultural policy model. It also consists of research concerning craft and health as well as the hemslöjd history and people's perception of the concepts slöjd and hemslöjd today.
Sustainable Lending: A case study of Swedbank’s lending operations

The pressures on organizations to act more sustainable are increasing, and companies have started to implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) into their operations. Until recently, the banking sector was relatively isolated from social and environmental pressures. However, the term sustainable lending has during the recent years become a more general concept in the financial industry. Due to banks’ indirect impact on investments, the banking industry has an important influencing power. Since sustainable lending is relatively new operations in organizations, it is important to understand how the practice will be adopted throughout a multinational company (MNC). In a MNC, this could be studied through institutional and relational differences towards the parent organization. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to create an understanding of how an international bank is affected by institutional and relational differences, with focus on CSR and lending practices. In order to investigate this, a qualitative multiple case study with one of Sweden's international banks has been conducted. The study contributes to the following findings: Limited differences could be found regarding identification, dependence, and regulations. However, the trust in the headquarter (HQ) were found to be higher among the Baltic subsidiaries than the Swedish subsidiaries. Furthermore, normative and cognitive aspects, such as knowledge, personal interests and the employee’s perception of sustainability may affect the sustainability analysis process. These aspects may also affect the quality of the client evaluation, particularly concerning social- and environmental risks.
”Varför ska jag gå runt och vänta?” En normkritisk intervjustudie med frivilligt ensamstående mammor

The purpose of this study is to examine how single mothers by choice motivate their family form and experience norms surrounding family and motherhood. In interviews with six women who became mothers through assisted reproduction technology we analyze motives and reasons behind their choice of family form and how they experience motherhood. In our analysis, we explore how heteronormativity and the concept of twoness constitute the nuclear family project and define relational practices. By using the poststructuralist term agency, we interpret these six women as creators in their own lives by having children on their own in a non-traditional way. Our conclusion is that even though heteronormativity and discourses regarding motherhood, family life and femininity are affecting the women, they resist and challenge these norms by creating an alternative position for themselves and their families.
