Purpose: The overall goal for my project is to design a valuable mobile app that teaches endusers how to ride, behave, and follow traffic rules by applying design thinking methodologies (DT). In addition, a deep understanding of electric scooters users and the intentions of the municipality administration can result in a handy app. Method: Design Thinking used as a methodology to identify and solve the needs of participants of the project. Results: A mobile app design to solve challenges of beginner riders by providing updated information, preparing a course, and creating an opportunity to have a community of practice. The design prototype includes five main modules. 1. EScooters parts: it informs the user about different parts of a scooter and their application. 2. Scooters in Gothenburg informs the user about available Scooters. 3. Campaigns: creates awareness using various information campaigns. 4. Get certified: guides the user to get certified on different learning areas about scooters. 5. Community of practice: users can share experience with each other.
