dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this thesis is to contribute to an
increased feeling of security and confidence in the process of making a sound choice of a standard system. We started our work with a theoretical study in order to learn about systems, in particular standard systems; methods, in particular methods in information systems development and methodological knowledge i.e. methods from a knowledge perspective. Further on, we assembled a tentative view of the unbalance between our need for knowledge and our accumulated knowledge.
Relevant theories, i.e. methods relating to the field of
standard systems evaluation, were analyzed and combined by method-fragments. This resulted in, by our means, a confident and secure meta-architecture for standard systems evaluation. We empirically tested the meta-architecture at OSS Sales that needed professional aid in making a sound choice of a standard system for request handling. | swe |
