This thesis deals mainly with, and discusses the management-philosophy ÎKnowledge Managementâ. Other extensive concepts, which will be brought up, are ÎLearning Organisationsâ and ÎKnowledge Intensive Firmsâ. The major objective of this thesis is to explore a consultancy firm, in an attempt to identify their management of knowledge and internal environment, and to compare this case study with theory. Further more, in order to make a comparison possible, one purpose has been to clarify, illuminate and deepen the thoughts surrounding ÎKnowledge Managementâ. Without an adequate working definition it is impossible to determine the concepts usefulness, fertileness and value for guidance in practice. Finally we will speculate around presumptive recommendations for how the company could practice ÎKnowledge Managementâ. Our intention is that the company should pay attention to what the thesis illustrate. The thesis does not attempt to present any final solutions to the problems brought up. Consequently, and out of a pragmatic point of view, the thesis can be seen as a foundation for further examination. Our conclusions are that, in spite of a high degree of competence within the company, the management of knowledge today is defective and there are some hampering factors which can derive the companyâs efforts in increasing the organisation-bounded knowledge.swe
