dc.description.abstractAbstract This master thesis deals with a specific system that aims to support knowledge sharing within Telia. One of the main problems with this kind of systems is how to establish acceptance among its users. The purpose is to investigate the system's ability to support the organization's knowledge management, the opinions towards the system among employees and what the organization and management should do in order to make the system implement successful. The thesis is written for people who study or work with computer related aspects or management. The theories that are discussed concerns knowledge, competence, knowledge management systems and organization. The results are based on an extensive poll and several interviews among Telia employees. The result is that the investigated system is able to support knowledge sharing within Telia's organization. It is however obvious that the system has some drawbacks that has to be improved. The employees have a positive attitude towards the purpose of the system, but they also recognize a great lack of usability and design. The result of the thesis also implies that better guidelines and planning should be prepared by management, system developers and users within the Telia organization.swe
