The projects aim is to expand the training of graduate supervisors by creating a three-day continuation course concentrating on questions of assimilation and interaction. This continuation course promotes integration between graduate students and supervisors from differing backgrounds and intellectual traditions. In order to facilitate the research process, the supervisor needs to be fully cognisant with scientific/scholarly discourses and have the pedagogic skills necessary to convey her knowledge and skills to the student. The course consists of lectures on theoretical issues relating to the supervisory situation and practical exercises. The emphasis is on case studies designed to increase the participants' self-awareness. This helps supervisors to improve the quality of their work and develop strategies for dealing with possible problems in supervision.swe
