The report begins with an analysis of current subject didactic knowledge about sound, hearing and health issues concerning high sound levels. Part of this analysis is an overview of common everyday conceptions of sound, the ear and hearing, as well as suggestions for goals to attain and tasks for formative evaluation. Information for "brushing up" knowledge of subject matter is also included. Then a sequence of lessons is described, exemplifying how results of the subject didactic analysis might be used in teaching about sound, hearing and health in compulsory school. Included in the sequence are a number of exercises in argumentation, e.g. about how to distinguish between scientific knowledge and opinions, as well as a rich collection of problems and some texts for students.en
