Nödlösning i fickformat - stående kissande för kvinnor
Abstract
The product "urinal funnel" for women has fascinated me for a long time. Not only because it solves a practical problem in a simple way, but also because it challenges our definitions of gender and behaviour. This report describes the process of making a new design for a funnel, taking material, ergonomics and construction in consideration. It also includes structuring a launching of the product in Sweden. It starts up with a large amount of information gathering, both by interviewing testgroup-perticipants, but also by researching and evaluating the range of existing funnels. The new funnel design has a number of new features, the biggest difference is a handle. The handle prevents the user from feeling the warmth from the urine. It also makes the funnel appear more as a unique product, rather than a penis dummy. The handles also enables a new construction that does not include glue, which makes it more environmentally friendly. The product launch is based on a theory saying that targeting the most obvious group first is not the best way. Instead it's based on taking a longer way round, targeting other groups first to secure users and positive attitudes towards the product amongst a larger group of people. At the end of this project a number of new tasks were defined, to reach up to the point where a real launch could be made. This project could be seen as an initial investigation of the concepts potential.
