The project To reach the goal starts out from the assumption that individuals’ ways of participating in activities depends on their understanding of its purpose. Hence, teachers’ and students’ understanding of teachers’ education programmes and profession influences their ways of acting, which is also influenced by the structure of the programme: Here we focus on students’ ways of developing readiness to teach class ensemble in three, differently structured, local programmes. Students and teachers explored their own activities in collaboration with a researcher. This was followed up in workshops in with students’ active participation was important. Identified strengths and weak points will be considered in quality development of the programmes. A book presenting experiences from the project will be published.en
