With the evolution of information technology, the process of gathering and storing data reached an unprecedented level. It resulted in an increasing need for effective and efficient systems that are able to handle massive amounts of information. Hospital registers, national censuses and other surveys constantly produce outstanding volumes of microdata that has to be stored and analyzed. In this thesis, we will analyze systems that are designed for statistical analysis of microdata. We present a novel approach to the architecture of such systems and a prototype that implements it.sv
