The danish Cultural Heritage Agency, Kulturarvsstyrelsen, is running a project called The Danish Prehistory in the Landscape where they renovate and better the access to a number of prehistoric relics, among others Øster Lem heath in western Jutland. Here is a large amount of fields and dike field borders from the Iron age well preserved. This work investigates which heathland management methods that are functional regarding communication of the dikes to the public as well as preservation of the natural and cultural values connected to the heathland. Economic reasonable solutions have been prioritized. It is concluded that burning followed by sheep grazing i likely to give the best result. It is also discussed which visitor facilities that are relevant to place in the area in connection to the renovation. The result is meant to be a foundation for the further work with Øster Lem heath and is presented as both a map and a text.eng
