Ecos de los años sesenta - La intertextualidad en “Cual es la onda” de José Agustín
Abstract
The objective of this study is to examine how intertextuality is presented in "Cual es la onda" by José Agustín (1967), published in the anthology Inventando un sueño in 1968. And in particular, what is the role played by the dialogue/distance between this work, Rayuela by Julio Cortazar and Tres tristes tigres by Guillermo Cabrera Infante, in order to be able to show the world of the young generations of the 60's and 70's. The analysis has got a structural approach and with the comparative method as a guide, the first step of the analysis is to examine the context in which the novel was written, Then we move on with the analysis of the story, paying special interest to the presence in the text of explicit or implicit references to the above mentioned novels, relying on some of the concepts of intertextuality and studies on the historical, social and literary context of the time. The result of our study revealed that through the dialogue/distance between "Cual es la onda" and other literary and extra-literary discourses, one can see the reflection of the dynamic, albeit not transgressive, world of the young generations of the 60's and the 70's.
