dc.description.abstractThe popularity of modern mobile phones has led to more people using their mobile phones to access the Internet. The majority of web sites today are not designed to adapt to the smaller screens and other limitations of mobile devices. This places new demands on user interface design and it is clear that website owners must start to adapt their websites for mobile use. Designing for mobile web can be challenging and there are a lot of aspects to consider. In this thesis we provide theory as well as practical advice on how to design usable user interfaces for mobile web sites, especially in the area of campaign and event marketing and booking services. This thesis uses a six-step design process for creating a mobile web design concept for a web-based event and campaign booking service. The design process was shown to be successful for creating the design concept. The design concept is presented as a high fidelity, interactive prototype created using the mobile user interface framework jQuery Mobile.sv
