dc.description.abstract | Music used in exercise has been widely used since 1970. Researchers have pointed out that
future research about music influence on motivation should include a comparison between
gender in health club environments. This is also the aim of this paper. We have handed out
surveys, all together 120, in two different health clubs in Gothenburg, Sweden. A distinction
has been done between gender. The purpose is to see in which extension music effects their
motivation according to their opinions and ideas using a model, which measures the different
components of music used in exercise. Our data has been analysed in SPSS. The results
showed that the motivation of women in general is effected more than men´s. | sv |
