art.description.project | Participatory exhibition at project space Forever & Today; located in New York's lower east side. Project curated of Sara Reisman. The space was turned into "Dragonfly Job Evaluation and Counselling" with the possibility for visitors to use job evaluation cards based on the life-cycle of the dragonfly, after which they could discuss their job situation for advice. A series of prints/embroideries, a photo collage, video of dragonfly nymphs hunting and fighting over their prey, the sculptural transparent text "days to go" which also designated the "evaluation booth" transformed the space into an office type space. As a final project the last day of the exhibition I presented texts about some of the consultations as well as reflections written during the time I spent in the project space. | sv |
