art.description.project	SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notes from Underground connects the Stockholm underground and Susan Sontag's sojourn in Sweden with another cavern system 5,000 miles away in New Mexico, not far from where the artist was raised. Through sound and image, the video guides the viewer above and below ground, suggestively linking these physical journeys to the liminal transitions between states of consciousness and strata of history.	sv
