dc.description.abstract | What relationship do we have with nature, what does it represent to us?
It is something foreign, far away. The cloudy mountains in the distance, and the close quiet embrace of the forest. It is an idea of simpler times, of getting lost and being found, right here – feet on the ground. To look up across the sky is to fly.
In my master degree project I wanted to investigate and portray the relationship we have with nature today. Nature as a symbol, as representing something.
A longing is a project in illustration presented as exhibition. The image is a flat surface able of creating space and depth, and in the form of exhibition the pictures and the paper they are printed on help create another kind of space. A room of its own. | sv |
