Tabu & Impuls

Abstract

This is my work about the subject taboo and impulse. It is an artistic study inspired by the neuropsychological concerning impulsiveness. Because that’s what it is; an artistic bachelor exam work, and not a scientific research. I created three costumes inspired by taboo and impulse. As a material I used candy strings (“godissnören”) in the flavours: liquorice, strawberry and caramel. Follow my struggle towards the materials transience that is both chimerically fascinating and unbelievably frustrating. I raise the question; is it technically possible to build costumes out of candy? And my answer is yes; it is possible! But it may not be what you first hoped. Mitt arbete berör ämnet tabu och impuls.
