J.S. Bach Violinmusik för cello

Summary
But why arrange Bach’s Chaconne for violin for the cello? Well, why climb Mount Everest? And Bach’s Chaconne is a work in which the strictness of form never feels stifling because of the wide range of musical emotion and instrumental effects. There are already several cello arrangements of the piece, however elaborated far beyond the original text with many, in my opinion, unnecessary alterations. I have tried to follow the autograph with incidental excursions into the original violin register.
