This thesis examines the relationships between people and their inherited objects. By using theories about how objects can contain memories, undergo functional changes and can be seen as connections for maintaining a communication between the present and the past - between separate places and times - I have looked closer at the reason why inherited objects have been preserved by a specific person, how the inherited objects are used today compared to its origin use, which thoughts that exists about the object and its future, and also if any memories, stories, emotions and experiences are connected to it. The material consists of four semi-structured interviews that were performed based on a guide for interviews, and also one written answer based on the same guide. All the studys participants have access to one or more inherited objects that they wanted to share their thoughts and stories about.sv
