dc.description.abstract | In this study the definition of normality and whether it has been changed during modern times has been investigated. The basis for the investigation has been the symptoms of the Swedish diagnosis utmattningsdepression (fatigue depression).
The study shows that these symptoms have been consistently documented during modern times, but with different labels and different definitions of normality or not normality. It has also been discovered that the responsibility for the symptoms have been move from the individual to a result of social structures, the economic market, the search for identity, the profit requirements in the pharmaceutical industry and finally the social need to create scapegoats – the sick Homo Solitum (the common man). | sv |
