| art.description.project | An exhibition which was curated and produced in collaboration with the alumni of the BFA Photography class of 2016. In an attempt to exhibition parts of the degree show of 2016 as well as new works of art the exhibition was a part of the Landskrona Fotofestival, a major photography festival in the south of Sweden which attracts a large audience to view contemporary and historical photography.
In Det är allt eighteen newly graduated artists explored their relationship to lived realities and fictions in works of art stemming from three years of intense investigation into photography and its premises. The works of art had several points of interests such as the everyday, dimensions of spent time to the inabilities of photography and its limitations.
It was through its multiplicity of media, such as video installation, photography, and sculpture and environmental art, as well as areas of concern that made the exhibition a probe into the complexity that lies within contemporary art and the human nature; a nature that is limiting and flawed but can contain everything at the same time. In the complex form of the exhibition with all its varied expressions, the photographic gaze became the common red thread and made the exhibition into a unique sample of the concerns and ideas that run within a new generation of artists and photographers.
As project leader and curator I worked closely together with the alumni in producing the exhibition, planned the transportation and installation as well as produced a curatorial text and supporting material. | sv |
