The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between price and volume on the Swedish housing market for co-operative apartments. In line with what prior studies have found our results show that the correlation is positive for price and volume. Furthermore we find that only negative price changes have a statistically significant impact on the amount of homes that are sold. Using an OLS regression with two “dummies” indicating negative respectively positive price movements, we found that buyers are more flexible when coming to prices than sellers. We also find that the employment rate in Sweden during 2000-2015 does not help us to explain any of the movements in sold co-operative apartments.sv
