dc.description.abstract | The aim of this essay is to study how we can be stimulated by different emotions when we
exercise creative activities. How do we show our emotions? Are all humans easy to read? Do
we all look and feel the same when we express different emotions? All of these questions are
linked to the question how a normal interview transcript in words can be replaced or
supplemented with filmed interviews. My view is that we can see more emotions and
expressions from a filmed interview and thus get closer to the informant. I want the reader of
this essay to “read” all the interviews and get more content. That’s one of the main focuses
with this essay, to get close to the feelings behind the words and creativity. I hope that the
reader of this essay through my filmed material can embrace my informants' feelings about
creation and their interpretation of what joy is and how it feels.
After all, feelings are a universal language that all people express in different ways.
Expressing a feeling does not require you to speak the same language, we are all capable of
feeling. However, how we express ourselves and explain our feelings is something we do in
different ways. We humans need to feel well-being in different ways to feel good. It can be
from social, mental / emotional, physical and material well-being. One of the areas I want to
investigate is how creativity can enhance mental / emotional well-being.
My target audience for the study is people of different disabilities who are all studying
creativity. They all got the task of creating something in fabric printing based on the feeling
of joy and they have also been interviewed about what they consider joy and creativity. I
worked with this wonderful class for 8 days and the result and their interviews was really fun
to be a part of. | sv |
