Organisationsförändring inom bankbranschen - En kvalitativ studie utifrån chefers och medarbetares perspektiv

Abstract
Today, organizations find themselves in an ever-changing world which often requires organizations to transform to stay competitive. As a result, organizations have to change their strategy internally to adapt. The managers of these organizations work on a continuous basis to find the best way to organize and implement the corresponding strategic changes internally. The necessity for change and its place in the organization makes it imperative that managers asses what has gone well when carrying out new changes in strategy and what can be done better in the future. The implementation of changes within a company effect multiple levels of management along with the individual employee. Change within an organization can be a positive and negative experience for those affected, normally it is not a simple answer. The purpose of this report is to analyze the experiences of employees and managers during the implementation of an internal change of strategyin a region of the organization. Earlier research has mainly focused on the feedback and opinions of managers when implementing change. The experiences of employees and managers vary greatly. To fill these gaps of information and provide a more holistic view, this research has gathered responses from both managers along with the employees of the organization. This research has highlighted the importance of communication with managers and employees affected by a change in strategy along with making these individuals feel involved to various degrees during the change implementation process. Various theories within management including theories on communication and change management have been used to analyze the responses from managers and employees, which have been gathered from interviews carried out with individuals after the implementation of a new strategy internally. The information gathered has provided insights into areas where managers can work to better the experience of employees during a time of strategic change in an organization.
