Proposal for a Film: Within the Leaves, a Sight of the Forest
Summary
The film looks at an extraordinary cardboard waste
route around Central, Hong Kong, focusing on the
Overseas Filipino Workers’ tradition of building
cardboard ‘houses’ on their day off, which then
inspired a complex informal economy.
