dc.description.abstract | The Slavonic Book of Enoch (2 En) is here translated into Swedish, and given some philological
commentaries. Current information about the work’s manuscripts is reported. Characteristics of the
Slavonic language in 2 En are presented. The passive verbal forms in 2 En, compared with verbal
forms in 1 En, give the protagonist Enoch another role in 2 En than in 1 En. This confirms that 1 and 2
En are different works of their own right. It is suggested that the method of A. Kulik in his study of 3
Baruch, could be applied also on 2 En, in order to clarify some terms and expressions in 2 En (Kulik
2010). | sv |
