The EU commission has 20% of the EU budget for exclusive disposal. In order to secure equal access for different organisations the commission shall work to enable them to take part in the political process within the EU. Interest organisations take a vital part in the political process in the EU and they can seek money from the commission who then select organisations that receive grants. In the pluralist theory the commission should favour the weaker interest organisations and the newer EU-member nations. However the result of this paper shows a major discrepancy between FPO:s and NGO:s and also between the older and the newer EU-member nations.sv
