The purpose of this study is to investigate documentation of extra adjustments1 and how the implemented strategies correspond with the curriculum. The study is based on the following enquiries; •To what extent do the extra adjustments plans represent identified studentconcerns? •What support is found in the extra adjustments plans and how is it related to theschool’s obligations in academic and behavioural interventions? •In what way do the schools describe the monitoring and assessment of the extra adjustments plans? Theory: The study draws on the sociocultural perspectives on learning and development with the zone of proximal development in focus. The study encompasses special needs education and therefore focuses on interventions from a critical perspective. Method; Qualitative Content Analysis Result: The study shows that the extra adjustments documented in the municipality’s chosen platform, Unikum, are written on an individual basis. The problem is considered to lie with the student and student’s individual circumstances at school are not taken into regard. Furthermore, the result shows that the scaffolding for documentation tends to influence the way that the extra adjustments are written and that the extra adjustments in many cases lean more towards leading and stimulating the student.sv
