The aim of the bachelor thesis is to bring forward employees of the Swedish Armed forces opinions and thoughts of possible military defence cooperation in the EU. Previous research has investigated the EU´s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) and how it has affected the Union. It has created both advantages for the Union but also caused tension, i.e., the tension between having the benefits of defence cooperation in the EU and the risk of having less national sovereignty. My material has been produced through various, in depth, interviews. The interview-subjects have different backgrounds and different experiences of working in a number of defence cooperation both in and outside Europe and with other cooperation such as UN and NATO. The result shows that despite the different military ranks and levels of experience of the interview-subjects, the answers are similar. In general the interview-subjects are of the opinion that the priority is to continue with the ongoing cooperation of which Sweden already is involved in and to facilitate and make feasible more cooperation within the EU.sv
