Bidrar hållbarhet till lönsamhet?
Abstract
I denna studie undersöks hurvida ett förhållande mellan hållbarhet och lönsamhet
existerar, avgränsat till svenska, börsnoterade företag listade på Large
Cap. Metoden som används är enkel respektive multipel statistisk regressionsanalys,
där linjär korrelation mellan hållbarhetsmåttet ESG-index och
olika finansiella prestationsmått undersöks bland urvalet av företag. Studien
resulterar i att ett statistiskt signifikant samband mellan ESG-index och
finansiella nyckeltal inte kan påvisas. Studiens slutsats är således att hållbarhet
hos svenska företag listade på Large Cap inte verkar påverka finansiell
prestation.

This study examines whether a relationship between sustainability and profitability
exists, limited to Swedish listed companies listed on Large Cap.
The method used is simple and multiple statistical regression analysis, where
linear correlation between the sustainability measure ESG score and various
financial performance measures is examined among the selection of companies.
The study results in that a statistically significant relationship between
the ESG score and financial perfomance cannot be demonstrated. Thus, the
study’s conclusion is that increased sustainability does not appear to affect
financial performance on swedish firms listed on Large Cap.
