dc.description.abstractThe Swedish Government was the first state, as a result of the United Nations Security Council resolution UNSCR 1325 on women, peace and security, to adopt a fully feminist foreign policy in 2014.Which feminism the Swedish Government represents through its foreign policy has not yet been examined. Therefore, this essay aims to examine and explore the Swedish Feminist Foreign Policy (FFP) and its policy documents to ask and find out what kind(s) of feminist theory are reflected and represented in the policy. By examine the problem representation, the cause and the solution in the different feminist theories as well as in the feminist foreign policy in an ideal type analysis and discourse analysis this paper will bring to light what type of feminism that the Swedish government represent. By an analysis of the Swedish Feminist Foreign Policy’s different policy documents the result showed that the Swedish government represent a liberal feminism with some elements of other feminist theories.sv
