ADAPTERING AV MANGEMENTINNOVATION I OFFENTLIG SEKTOR - Så uppfattas sociala investeringsfonder av svenska kommuner

Abstract
Studies of the relation between innovation characteristics and management innovation adoption at the organisational level are scarce. This paper presents results from an informant survey with 44 participating Swedish municipalities. The management innovation in focus is social investment funds. The design of the study enables the ability to compare organisations’ that reach different phases in the adoption process. Together with the organisations subjective estimation of the innovation characteristics, it makes this study unique for the research area in adoption of innovation. The findings suggest that all the innovation characteristics that the study includes - relative advantage, compatibility and complexity - impact organisations’ output in the adoption process of social investment funds.
