Artist Publishing
Abstract
A big part of my artistic practice revolves around publishing. I produce zines and artist books, mostly of my own work but also on commission and as a part of my collaboration with Susanne Westerberg (MASU).

Other description
During 2020 I have produced three new zines + artist books, one commissioned zine for The Weaving Lab Revisited symposium at Röhsska Museum of Design 2019, I have lectured on zines both at HDK, on Zoom and together with a one-day workshop at Kulturverkstan and I have had zines represented at two independent publishing fairs (one in Gothenburg and one in Copenhagen) and participated in around 30 trades.
Thru this work I also received a large donation of Punk and Hardcore zines for the HDK Zine Archive from a record store in Gothenburg.
Publishing for community.
For me the publishing practice is becoming more and more integrated in both my artistic as well as teaching practice. I find the format of the book / zine / pamphlet to be such a well functioning platform for directing ones focus in art production (in my case mostly drawings and photo) as well as sharing and saving work. My main mode of distributing my work is thru making publications and trading them with others. I find the whole choreography of making, sending, receiving published material to be so rewarding and beautiful. The community that builds around this activity works as an important support structure for my continuous work, both artistically and within teaching. I hope to be able to focus more on this during 2021.
