The EU Invite all Member states to work for greater equality in politics because it creates socio-economic benefits. But all EU countries have still not achieved equality in local political representation. Among EU member states Sweden has achieved the highest proportion of women in local representation but still not considered to have achieved equality in local political representation. Based on this view, the purpose of this study is to create an understanding of how local women parliamentarians experience women’s political influence in local political representation. This study is qualitative with an interview method. To collect material, seven interviews were introduced with local members in Sweden. Theoretical basis of this study is based on the politics of presence, the study examines the theory based on Swedish local representation. The result of the interview indicates that the presence of women in politics does not necessarily mean the increased influence of women in politics, because there are many factors that affect the influence of women.sv
