This essay studies two protected natural environments who have made new constructions to expand the visitor experience. The construction varies between being a platform where visitors can rest in the national park to elaborate playgrounds in the nature reserve. Tiveden National Park is a very wild and rural environment so constructions are necessary for visitor safety. The platform has also been built to guide visitors away from delicate areas which saves the grounds vegetation from trampling. Varbergaskogen Nature Reserve was made as a part of the green structure of the city of Örebro. This means that the nature reserve can be made to fit the needs for playgrounds for the nearby residents and provide exercise opportunities. Balance between safeguarding nature values and visitor experience is made by guiding the people to the fun playgrounds and have fewer pathways in areas where nature is left to develop.sv
