Frihet under ansvar - En kvalitativ studie om individens kreativa förmåga på hybrida arbetsplatser
Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic is a factor that has resulted in the hybrid workplace becoming more common and as a result, physical interactions have decreased and work at a distance has increased. Due to workplaces becoming hybrid, the conditions for individuals to use their creative ability change. Creativity is a relatively studied phenomenon, but there are no studies on creativity in a hybrid work environment. This study therefore examines what influences the individual's creative ability to increase the understanding of how the individual's creative ability can foster in hybrid workplaces. To study this phenomenon, a qualitative study has been applied where 15 semi-structured interviews have been conducted at a public organization.
The study is based on and examines four main components regarding creativity, freedom, motivation, knowledge, and social interaction. These components are presented as central to what affects the individual's creative ability and are therefore examined in a hybrid work environment. Something that was not identified as crucial for the individual's opportunities to be creative but that emerged in the study as significant was leadership. Based on these, the study's conclusions are that social interactions and leadership are significant in promoting the creative ability of individuals in hybrid workplaces.
