This thesis examines Robert Drews' arguments in Militarism and the Indo-Europeanizing of Europe, contextualizing them within recent interdisciplinary research on Indo-European migrations. By integrating insights from archaeology, genetics, and linguistics, this study evaluates the validity of Drews' claim that the Indo-Europeanization of Europe began ca. 1600 BC as a result of military takeovers. It contrasts his perspective with contemporary findings that support earlier migrations. By identifying areas of agreement and discrepancy between Drews' hypothesis and modern cross disciplinary archaeological research, ultimately assessing the relevance of his work in current Indo-European studies.sv
