dc.description.abstractThe inaugural LearnPCC scientific conference was held in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 12–13 December 2024. Organised by the Centre for Person-Centred Care (GPCC) at the University of Gothenburg, in collaboration with national and international partners, the conference aimed to advance the integration of person-centred care (PCC) within higher education. The programme focused on pedagogical strategies, educational innovation, and student engagement to promote PCC across healthcare professions. Participants collaboratively explored approaches to person-centred learning, with emphasis on research dissemination, pedagogical development, and interprofessional dialogue. The event highlighted the vital role of higher education in supporting health, well-being, and compassionate care. Three core themes guided the conference: (1) pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning person-centredness; (2) creating compassionate learning environments; and (3) translating person-centred theory into clinical practice. The programme included empirical studies, theoretical perspectives, practice-based projects, and artistic contributions, shared through keynotes, presentations, workshops, and discussions. The LearnPCC conference demonstrates how academic institutions can foster innovation, collaboration, and applied person-centred learning as a foundation for educational practice.en
dc.description.abstractDen första vetenskapliga LearnPCC-konferensen hölls i Göteborg, den 12–13 december 2024. Konferensen arrangerades av Centrum för personcentrerad vård (GPCC) vid Göteborgs universitet i samarbete med nationella och internationella partners, och syftade till att främja integrationen av personcentrerad vård (PCC) inom högre utbildning. Konferensprogrammet fokuserade på pedagogiska strategier, pedagogisk innovation och studentengagemang för att främja PCC inom olika vårdyrken. Deltagarna utforskade tillsammans metoder för personcentrerat lärande, med tonvikt på forskningsspridning, pedagogisk utveckling och interprofessionell dialog. Konferensen lyfte fram högre utbildnings viktiga roll för att främja hälsa, välbefinnande och medmänsklig vård. Tre centrala teman vägledde konferensen: (1) pedagogiska metoder för att undervisa och lära ut personcentrering, (2) att skapa medkännande lärandemiljöer; och (3) att översätta personcentrerad teori till klinisk praxis. Programmet innehöll empiriska studier, teoretiska perspektiv, praktikbaserade projekt och konstnärliga bidrag som delades genom keynotes, presentationer, workshops och diskussioner. LearnPCC-konferensen visar hur akademiska institutioner kan främja innovation, samarbete och tillämpat personcentrerat lärande som en grund för utbildningspraxis.sv
