dc.description.abstractRecently, linguists have begun to pay attention to phraseology as a fundamental element in the process of learning any language. The purpose of this work is to clarify, through a bibliographic review, the role of phraseological units in the development of different skills and to determine which type of methodology is most appropriate. Firstly, we can confirm the importance of this discipline in the communicative process and the need to introduce it in the SFL classroom. Secondly, the gaps and controversies that exist both in the curricula (particularly in the Swedish curriculum) and in the didactic part. The teacher encounters a number of pitfalls. On the one hand, lack of preparation and, on the other hand, being able to apply the necessary methodology taking into account the scarcity of empirically based material. This study confirms the need to introduce phraseology from the initial levels of learning, for curricula to pay greater attention to it and for more research to be done in this field, specially in terms of didactic proposals.sv
