Dear S.

art.description.project	Dear S. is a limited edition two color offset print made for a mail art subscription produced for the online journal Art Practical. The piece is a letter that serves as a somewhat cathartic attempt at absolution addressed to an unknown recipient only listed as S. The letter describes a situation of increasing loss and neglect that only becomes visible to the writer when it begins to produce a kind of cancer, which grows, takes over and consumes the text. The text is printed as an emboss into paper, then overprinted with black circles that have grown up from the bottom obscuring half of the text. The full letter is only readable at an angle.	sv
