dc.description.abstract	Many developers view comments as one of the most important artifacts of software development, however few comparisons have been made examining the differences in commenting habits of open source developers and industrial practises. This paper finds differences in the quality of comments between these two categories. The goal of highlighting these differences is to potentially help bridge this gap and improve the internal quality of software products.	sv
