Granskning av värderingsmodeller för den offentliga sektorn

Abstract

IT investments in today’s modern organizations are a bigger part of the investment portfolio and it is important that one tries to find out what the business value of these investments are. That is the case within medical service in Västra Götalandsregionen as well. Therefore, they would like to know what the difference is between public service organizations and private companies when one evaluates business value and also which models are best to use within public service organizations. In order to achieve this we have built a theoretical framework in the field of the study that we use as a base for our knowledge. In the theoretical framework we have received knowledge of business value, judgment of business value and private service organizations. We also have described four models for use of evaluating business value. In order to answer our questions at issue as well as possible, we have collected empirical material from interviews. The result of the study is a discussion about the empirical contribution and the different characteristics of the models. As a completion we have tried to put together a table where we list which models have the characteristics.
