| dc.description.abstract | I’ve previously been working with patterns for wallpaper and wanted to try another approach. I wanted to use a strange story as a base to develop a wallpaper collection from. The aim was to make a collection that is more than wallpapers. The seed to this idea I got from an article about mysterious deaths among birds in Chicago published in metro. They had flown into a large building. 35.000 birds had been killed in what seemed to be a fantastically macabre event. But what Metro failed to mention was that the deaths had occurred during a time period of over 30 years. The story wasn’t that fantastic any more, but it gave me an idea. I did my collection about a conspiracy theory concerning the skylab project in the 70’s. It turned out to be a collection of wallpapers, both illustrative and abstract patterns, along with a small collection book. The idea was to present the collection and the story in a slightly different way. Enjoy. | sv |
