It analyses the relationship between “mys” and the individual by applying Barbro Klein’s ritual theory to understand “mys” as a ritual performance. Furthermore, it aims to utilize Judith Butler’s theory of performativity to analyze subconscious, naturalized behavior, Erving Goffman’s dramathurgical theory to explore “mys” as an identity-performance and Mary Douglas theory about dirt as something misplaced and threatening to order. It becomes evident that “mys” is made up of several personal yet general markers and that they constitute a performance of identity with elements of normative female identity coding.swecozy, identity, normative female identity"Var är mina cozy boys?” – En kvalitativ studie om relationen mellan mys, identitet och normer om kvinnlig könsidentitet“Where are my cozy boys?” – A qualitative study about the relations between coziness, identity and normative female identityText
