Hur klickar man på ett ljud?-Auditiv interaktion baserat på mänskliga förutsättningar
Abstract
The purpose of this thesis has been to investigate the basis for
creating a direct manipulation interface based on sound out of a
mobile use perspective, and to investigate how far the research on
audio interfaces has advanced. In order to do this literature studies
and a number of prototype tests have been conducted. As focus has
been to meet human requirements I have used a form of `structured
use centered program development' that has evolved from the field
of Human Computer Interaction (HCI).
The results are encouraging. There is a real potential of sound being
used for interaction in direct manipulation interfaces. But there are
technical and cognitive limitations and not a lot of research is being
pursued in this field.
Sound interface represents a new and exiting field and hopefully we
will come to see new interfaces based on sound and adapted to meet
with human prerequisites. Interfaces that know the answer to
questions like `How do one click a sound?'.
